The Bridges of Madison County is a film based on the novel of the same name. Meryl Streep plays the role of a lovesick woman named Francesca. Francesca and a man named Robert fall in love but as usual, there is a conflict. Besides the fact that they are not young anymore, Francesca is already married with children. The dilemma of Francesca that puts her in a more difficult situation is that her husband is a kind man who loves her and treats her well. Meryl Streep’s performance in this film was undoubtedly deserving of a nomination.
